Mrs. Sween began teaching 19 years ago after graduating from UC Davis with her degree in English. She was
hired by Yuba City High School where she taught in the English Department for eight years. After the
birth of her fourth child in five years, she left the high school and began homeschooling her oldest daughter.
After two years as a homeschooling mom, she was hired by a charter school to assist other homeschooling
families with their curriculum and instruction as she continued teaching her children at home. Currently she is employed
by Forest Charter School as an Education Specialist and, this year, she will once again be teaching full-time in our
program as well.
Mrs. Sween met Mr. Sween in high school and they have been married for the past 21 years
and have six children. Mrs. Sween is also a vocalist on the worship team at Calvary Chapel, Grass
Valley.
In addition to her home, her teaching, and music at
church, for the past three years Mrs. Sween has also participated in the "Celebration of Life" triathlon
in Nevada City (a benefit for breast-cancer research).
In her spare time,
she enjoys doing laundry, picking-up after her children, and making dinner. (LOL)
