Our Program

Classes meet Mon-Fri.  8 AM-1:00 PM. and run about 90 minuntes.

As much as possible, students are taught at their own level and course grades

are assigned based primarily upon student improvement. (i.e. How

much they learn vs. how gifted they are.)

ALL classes are cumulative. (Students have to remember everything!)

The first year a high school student is with us is by far the most difficult year in our

program.

By California law, students under the age of eighteen must be enrolled in a state registered school.  Sierra Academics is a high-powered tutoring program, not a school, and students simply come to us for their curriculum, instruction, and assessment in five core subject areas.

Parents of students not enrolling in a registered school, or some similar program, will need to obtain a “Private Affidavit” from the county in which they reside.  We can assist you in this process if you wish.

The format at Sierra Academics is dynamic and rigorous and courses are taught as a continuum, or single story, which grows and deepens as the students progress.

Sierra Academics is trying to give young people the chance for a better future than they would likely have had attending a more conventional program, with more typical curriculum.  That said, Sierra Academics uses "secular" textbooks as we have found these resources to better prepare students for the rigors of their academic futures.

Students:

Do you want to know what you can do when you set your mind to it?

Do you want a better chance at the life God intended for you?

Do you want to go to college boldly and with confidence?

Do you want a life that better allows you to impact those around you for Christ?

Do you want to learn how to learn, so that you are no longer limited by

instructors and dependant on others for what you know?

If so, then come!  Be a part of something exciting—and difficult.  We are offering you an opportunity to focus your life while many of those around you are being distracted and damaged; an opportunity to taste the joy of a disciplined life—a life that glorifies God and sets you free.  Your high school years are critical for setting you up for a blessed life, and God has put it upon our hearts to help you use this time to identify your academic and spiritual strengths and weaknesses, and to help ‘Train you up in the way you should go’ while many of your peers are simply shuffling off to places where they take lots of classes, but all too often learn very little.

You will work hard, laugh (a lot), perhaps cry a little, and even want to quit at times, but the sense of accomplishment and success will keep you coming back for more.

Pray about it, and then decide.
